Mon Bijou

Welcome to the World of Mon Bijou
Let's face it. Attraction is more than skin deep. Sometimes, what draws you in is what lingers after someone is gone. An irresistible scent can shape our impressions, stir our emotions, and dominate our thoughts long after the moment has passed. The right fragrance doesn't need to announce itself. It simply leaves you wanting another moment, another breath, another encounter.
Mon Bijou began as a fictional scent lingering in a stairwell each morning as "Mr. Dreamy" from 24C descended the steps in Italian leather shoes and a tailored suit. By Book II, it had become the signature scent of a master manipulator—a man whose allure was as calculated as it was irresistible.
"Unmistakable. Masculine. Sexy. It suits you."
Gina Simms understood the power of Mon Bijou. She fell for the man, but it was his scent that first drew her in.
In fiction, Mon Bijou became the head-turning fragrance of billionaire bad boys. Now, fantasy meets reality.
Because irresistible isn't a character trait. It's a presence.
Experience Mon Bijou, where the allure of fiction becomes the fragrance of reality.

COMING MARCH, 2027!
Follow the Mon Bijou Journey: From Idea to Fragrance
♛ · ♛ · ♛
Back in 2023, while writing Deception & Consequences, I had an idea: create not one, but two fragrances, each named after the novel's lovers, Mac and Aria. I was busy writing because story ideas kept coming, and some surface-level research into the fragrance-making process told me my business wasn't ready for such a leap. The idea, however, never completely went away.
Three years later, I can't say that I added Derek Halston's delicious aroma descending the stairs every day with the knowledge that Mon Bijou would actually transition from fiction to reality because the idea didn't strike me during the writing process. My original desire must have been lying dormant because the idea hit me in the final editing stages. And once that thought re-entered the forefront of my brain, there was no stopping it.
I spent the summer of 2026 smelling dozens of men's fragrances, learning that how they present is not necessarily how they stand the test of time. My goal was to find a men's fragrance I liked from first spritz to the end of the day. Knowing what I liked was a key first step when explaining what Mon Bijou would smell like.
It was on to researching EVERYTHING--
These days my research has shifted from the Big G to the Big C (I'll let you ponder that). Say what you want about artificial intelligence; it's the fastest, most complete source of information about anything you could possibly need. That's where I started.
My initial queries focused on the structure of fragrance: notes, concentration, strength, and everything else I needed for a baseline. And before I got too far into this process, I had to nail down my target audience and a price point that matched. This step required a very informal survey. What I learned might not shock you: Women are the chief consumers of men's cologne, and since they usually give it as a gift or just know what they want their partner to smell like, they spend more than men. As my information base grew, I discovered one very critical fact--making a saleable, luxury fragrance isn't a DIY project. It was time to find a professional perfumer.
I needed some specific elements: small-batch production, bottling, packaging, assistance scaling, and full control of the creative process. Mon Bijou had already been created in Liars & Thieves and Players & Thieves. We couldn't deviate from the existing details. Well, that's what I tell myself anyway. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a bit of a control freak, so I definitely needed a front-row seat to this show. The Big C didn't let me down. I found my perfumer. At this point, I just had to convince them my idea was marketable.
To be continued...
